GOING FOR YOUR LEARNERS LICENCE TEST:
- Go to your local Driver licensing agency.
- Produce a Birth Certificate or Passport as proof of your identity and
age. You will also need proof of your current address this can be a
Bank statement or similar type document not more than 12 months old
or a telephone, gas or electricity account not more than 6 months old.
- Pay $79.00c
- Pass an eyesight check
- Provided a signature
- Have a photograph taken
- Pass a written theory test (35 multi choice questions of which 32 must
be answered correctly)
- Once you pass theory test you will be given a temporary Licence valid
for 21 days to use until you receive your Learners Licence in the post.
(approx 2 - 3 weeks
CONDITIONS OF A LEARNER LICENCE:
- Carry the licence at all times when learning to drive.
- Must Display 2 L plates on your vehicle.
- You must be accompanied by a supervisor
Note a supervisor is a person who currently holds, and has held for
at least 2 years, a full car drivers licence. they must sit in the
front seat beside you and is in charge of the vehicle while you are
driving.
