GOING FOR YOUR RESTRICTED LICENCE TEST

• You must have held your Learners Licence for 6 Months before booking
  your Restricted Licence Test.
• Go to your local Driver licensing agency.
• Produce your Learners Licence as proof of your identity and age. You will  also need proof of your current address this can be a Bank statement or similar   type document not more than 12 months old or a telephone, gas or electricity account not more 6 months old.
• Pay $88.20c
• Pass an eyesight check
• Provided a signature
• Have a photograph taken

  ? Helpful Hint Have your N.Z.I.D.E.I. Driving Instructor check your driving skills are complete for the test.

  A booking can be made at the agency office to sit your practical test.

• When you pass your test you will be given a temporary Licence valid for 21 days to use until you receive your Restricted Licence in the post. (approx 2 - 3 weeks)

CONDITIONS OF A RESTRICTED LICENCE

• Carry the licence at all times when driving.
• No driving between 10 pm and 5 am, unless with a supervisor.
• You must be accompanied by a supervisor

  If you carry passengers you must accompanied by a supervisor, unless the passengers are your spouse, or dependents of either you or your spouse (eg children, parents).

• Note a supervisor is a person who currently holds, and has held for at least 2 years, a full car drivers licence. they must sit in the front seat beside you and is in charge of the vehicle while you are driving.
